LIVING ROOM TWO
LOCATION: LINCOLN
This formal living room has been completely redesigned; relocating the door from the hall to the centre of the space and upgrading these to double doors gives the space grandeur.
The chimney breast has been built out, allowing us to install a gas fire, recess the television and provides space either side for bespoke cabinets. We designed the calacatta viola marble fire surround and used the same marble on the cabinets either side.
Edwardian plaster of Paris coving has been installed to add character and the moulded panelling on the walls has been lined with fabric wallcovering, adding subtle texture to the space.
Column radiators have been installed either side of the double doors which contribute to the traditional feel of the space but contemporary style sofas have been chosen to give this space a transitional style; giving it longevity.
Handmade, pinch pleat curtains and Roman blinds have been made using a subtle William Morris print and sheer roller blinds offer privacy during the day without blocking out the light.
